Moulded Core Technology (MCT)© — The optimized core of foil boards

The specialty of PPC Foil boards is the Moulded Core Technology (MCT)© .

MCT is a unique solution for PPC that provides increased stiffness and better energy transfer from the surfer to the foil. This significantly improves controllability and responsiveness. Not only are the boards some of the lightest and strongest on the market (they can even withstand being run over by a car!), but the MCT process also eliminates common problems such as excess foam waste, water absorption and the risk of delamination.

Molding Process: In traditional board construction, the foam core is carved from a solid block, but in MCT, the foam is molded directly into the desired shape. This allows for precise control over the density and distribution of the foam, allowing for strategic reinforcement in critical areas. For example, denser foam near the surface of the board is created that is strong and water-resistant.

Carbon Fiber Sandwich Construction: Layers of carbon fiber are placed on both sides of a foam core, creating a lightweight yet stiff structure that effectively transfers forces from the surfer to the water.

Fiber orientation: By aligning the fibers at specific angles, such as 45 degrees, PPC can optimize the strength and flexibility properties of the board.

More environmentally friendly: From a sustainability perspective, MCT reduces waste in the manufacturing process because the shape is created precisely without having to cut large blocks and discard excess parts. In addition, the durable materials used in MCT extend the life of the board, which is a significant advantage both economically and environmentally.

Dyneema® Composite Fabric — Stronger shell for wings

The PPC wingi product family includes the elite-level Dyneema-based M1 series and the Dacron-based M2 for more general use.

Dyneema® composite fabric makes PPC products top-notch performance. The material allows for a 20% thinner leading edge, which reduces drag and increases speed. It can withstand 30% higher pressure, which provides stiffness and improves aerodynamics. Dyneema® is 15 times stronger than steel for its weight, so the products are both extremely light and durable. In addition, the material is completely waterproof and does not absorb water, so the equipment remains light throughout the session.

PPC M1 Wings – Performance for all levels

The PPC M1 family offers top-of-the-line wings for all levels of sailors. Choose from the M1-L, M1, M1-X or M1-R to suit your needs – each model utilizes PPC’s advanced Dyneema® construction and delivers superior performance.

Although the Dyneema® reinforcement is limited to the leading edge, the M1-L offers stability and performance even in high winds.

M1 – The most rigid in the market

The M1 offers excellent performance and is designed for more advanced sailors who value precise handling and speed. Its construction utilizes Dyneema® fiber throughout, making the wing particularly stiff and aerodynamic. The M1 is a versatile choice, suitable for both racing and leisure sailing.
