The Code Foils Black Series Mast is our most refined and highest-performing all-round mast to date. Designed for riders seeking the best possible feel for the foil, it exceptionally combines efficiency, precision, and responsiveness regardless of the discipline.
From carbon fiber laminate to profile design, every design decision has been made for one purpose: for the mast to feel incredibly direct and controlled underfoot, while maintaining the versatility that Code Foils users have come to expect.
Engineered for peak performance
At the core of the Black Series is aerospace-grade UHM carbon fiber, making the mast stiffer and more durable than ever before. Combined with a progressively tapered profile and refined laminate construction, the result is our stiffest all-round mast to date.
The Black Series profile has a chord length of 105 mm at its narrowest, making it the narrowest mast in the Code Foils range. This reduces drag while maintaining the control and predictability required in all disciplines.
The result is a mast that accelerates effortlessly, carries speed easily, and responds instantly to every rider movement – whether downwinding in open ocean swells or carving turns at your home spot.
Tapered Construction
The progressively tapered profile of the Black Series concentrates material where stiffness is needed most, while reducing chord length and drag at the bottom of the mast. Structural volume has been increased near the board where loads are greatest, and the underwater section has been refined to be narrower. This achieves both excellent stiffness and improved efficiency.
This means: less drag, faster acceleration, and better glide.
Performance in numbers
Compared to the Plus Mast, the Black Series takes stiffness to a new level. Each mast length has its own bending and torsional stiffness to ensure the most responsive ride in every size.
These improvements make the ride feel significantly more direct and connected: every movement is transferred more efficiently to the foil, giving the rider more confidence at all speeds.
