Code Foils Kanga Series Front Wing
Code Foils Kanga Series Front Wing
Code Foils' collection dedicated to pump foiling
The Kanga is not designed as a traditional front wing; rather, it has been built from the ground up for dock starts, flatwater pumping, paddle-ups, and riding in extremely light winds. The goal was simple: to create a foil that makes progression easier, builds confidence faster, and opens up foiling to more people than ever before.
With exceptional stability, a forgiving lift profile, and an ultra-low stall speed, the Kanga gives riders more time to react, correct, and refine their technique. Mistakes that would normally end a run can often be recovered – keeping the rider on the foil longer and accelerating progression. The result is a riding experience that is intuitive, confidence-building, and above all, addictive.
Most foiling disciplines are dependent on conditions – wind, waves, or tow. The Kanga changes this. It turns calm mornings, docks, and mirror-flat water into rideable sessions, creating a new way to utilize the water every day.
Designed for Progression
The Kanga series is designed for pumping: dock starts, flatwater pumping, paddle-ups, ultra-light wind winging, learning and developing foiling skills, as well as everyday riding and maximizing water time.
The Kanga has two series – the largest model is intended for long-distance pumping, while the smaller ones are for learning pump foiling. The largest model is so wide (170cm) that it does not forgive small tilting errors. The smaller models all have a wingspan of 130cm – this offers optimal glide and still reasonable maneuverability. If you plan to learn dock starting, choose the Kanga 1870.
Kanga vs S?
The Code Foils Kanga is slower than the S-series front wings. The Kanga 2220's "travel speed" is about 14 km/h, while the smaller Kangas are 16-18 km/h. The speed of the large S-series wings, the 1540S and 1725S, when pumped on flat water is about 18-20 km/h. The 1725S front wing has a width of 128cm, almost the same as the Kanga. However, its wingtips are narrower, making it turn more lightly. The 1725S is more versatile than the Kanga 1870. If you want to ensure you learn dock starting, choose the Kanga 1870 – if you want a more general-purpose front wing that also works for wingfoiling, choose the 1725S.
