Code Foils R Series Front Wing

High Modulus front wings are designed for the growing sport of downwind SUP foiling. These wings are specifically developed for downwind SUP foiling. World Champion James Casey used both the 860R High Modulus and 770R High Modulus wings to win a major competition in Hawaii in 2023. The 860R High Modulus won the Molokai 2 Oahu Downwind World Championship , and the 770R High Modulus took victory in the Paddle Imua competition, a shorter sprint-style race.

The R-Series is also available in two larger sizes, the 960R and 1075R. They are a great addition to any foiling enthusiast’s kit – beginners will appreciate their user-friendliness, and experienced riders can surf these large foils in almost calm conditions, harnessing even the slightest energy from the sea for long and impressive glides. The team has invested heavily in the construction and succeeded in creating an extremely lightweight front wing with exceptional stiffness across the wing span. If you are looking for a wing that will allow you to go fast and far downwind, the 860R High Modulus or 770R High Modulus is the right choice.

The R-Series High Modulus foils are made from High Modulus carbon fiber and are of the same quality as other Code Foils. They are designed for a wide speed range and efficient pumping. They are not as agile as some other foils, but they glide endlessly – and still turn. We call them “longboard foils” because of their long and stable design.

The R-Series High Modulus wings have incredibly good low end for their size. James Casey demonstrated this by winning the M2O race in flat water and challenging headwind conditions. Ben Tardrew also used the 860R to fight for victory and finish on the podium in a near calm Hood River race against the world’s best.

Note: R-Series front wings are not designed for jumping. Jumping with R-Series front wings will void the warranty.

The larger 960 and 1075 offer improved performance in light wind conditions and act as a gateway for those learning downwind foiling and bump linking.

The 600R is now the smallest wing in the R series, designed for top speed experienced Code riders. It is specifically made for racing and handling big waves in downwind conditions – for top level performance. The wing has been designed with maximum stiffness in a small foil – it is truly a feat of engineering!

The 1250R is our largest foil in the R series. It is a game-changer for those looking for maximum glide, efficiency and versatility.
