Code Foils Race Tail

Built for a different purpose.

The Code Race 100 and 119 are Code Foils' rear wings designed for racing and high speeds. They are made for foilers who seek maximum efficiency in straight-line, high-speed riding.

The R Series rear wings balance speed, glide, and versatility for many conditions. The Race rear wings are made for one purpose: performance in competitive situations. They do not replace the R Series, but rather complement the range as a specialized option.

Construction

The Race rear wings are manufactured from higher-modulus carbon fiber than Code Foils' AR and R Series rear wings, which are High Modulus carbon fiber. The rear wing comes with a protective cover and mounting bolts.

Race 100

• Wingspan: 399 mm
• Surface area: 100 cm²
• Aspect ratio (AR): 16.3

The smallest and highest aspect ratio rear wing in the Code Foils rear wing range. Designed for minimum drag and maximum speed. Best suited for powerful conditions and racing where maintaining glide is critical.

For comparison: the 110R rear wing has 110 cm² of surface area and a 340 mm wingspan. The Race 100 has less surface area but about 6 cm more wingspan.

Race 119

• Wingspan: 400 mm
• Surface area: 119 cm²
• Aspect ratio (AR): 14.8

Slightly more surface area and control than the Race 100. Provides more stability, while glide and efficiency remain high. Suitable for longer courses and varying racing conditions.

For comparison: the 151R rear wing has the same 400 mm wingspan, but 151 cm² of surface area and an aspect ratio of 10.8.

Who is it for?

The Race rear wings are specialized equipment: more sensitive and less forgiving than the R Series and AR Series rear wings. They are intended for experienced foilers who compete or spend a lot of time riding at high speeds and know how to extract performance in competitive conditions.

In the Code Foils rear wing range, the AR Series is made for surfing and general use, the R Series for speed, glide, and recreational use, and the Race rear wings exclusively for competition. If you are looking for a versatile rear wing for fast recreational riding, the R Series is usually a better choice.

However, if you are looking to breathe new life into even a larger front wing, it is worth trying a Race rear wing. For example, the Race 100 combined with a Kanga 2220 front wing is an excellent long-distance pumping setup!
