VAYU AURA V3 6.5 m² LW white/orange

VAYU AURA V3 is the third generation of Vayu's freeride and wave wing. The centre of the leading edge uses ALUULA Aeris FX-86, making the frame stiffer and lighter than its predecessor. The profile is deeper, and thinner, more flexible wingtips make pumping easier.

One unit available in size 6.5 m² (LW, light wind model) in white/orange. The wing comes with handles.

LW construction: in addition to the centre strut, the canopy has extra struts. They allow more sail area without the wingspan growing unwieldy. The 6.5 m² has a span of 4.00 m.

Features

• Extra struts in the canopy – keep the wingspan reasonable and the sail shape stable at a large size.
• Handles included – supplied with both rigid handles and soft handle loops, which are interchangeable. The centre strut has a kink at the handles, leaving more room for your hands.
• Deeper profile – early glide, good low-end pull and low drag.
• Stable when flagged – stays calm behind you in waves and on downwinders.
• Thinner wingtips – easier pumping and comfortable handling.
• Boom compatible – a boom for the Aura is available separately.

Construction

• ALUULA Aeris FX-86 – in the centre of the leading edge, where stiffness matters most. Direct power transfer and precise steering.
• Dacron DKC 160 – in the rest of the leading edge.
• Teijin Crazyrip 5x5 and 2x2 ripstop – canopy fabric that keeps the sail taut and resists wear.
• X-Ply windows – light and stiff, they do not deform in cold or warm weather.
• Extra valve on the centre strut – faster deflation.
