Vayu Pyro V2 Parawing
Vayu Pyro V2 Parawing
VAYU PYRO V2 builds on the original PYRO, which became a test winner and a rider favourite. V2 takes the same formula further: more low-end power, stronger upwind performance and faster, more direct turning. The ultralight canopy and simplified bridle system deliver stable flight and progressive depower.
The PYRO V2 has been developed and tested for more than a year in locations such as the Columbia River Gorge, Kiel, Fuerteventura and Hawaii. The usable wind range is wider than its predecessor's in every size.
Features
- Cascaded bridles – a cascade layout reduces long lines by 20%. The PYRO V2 collapses via the full A bridle level, so all cells gather in one hand with no wingtip gathering needed before stowing.
- Coated Dyneema bridles – stiffer, coated A-lines improve control and make stowing easier.
- Unlocked B levels – more progressive depower and better upwind performance. The bar's pressure point moves further back, so no front knub is needed.
- Integrated harness line – the standard bar (and the optional Arc Bar) come with an integrated harness line. Nothing snags or sticks out of the stash pouch, and the position is adjustable on the fly.
- Ultralight canopy – small packdown size for a wing you carry through the whole session.
- Wider wind range – more usable range in every size.
Construction
The PYRO V2 is a single-skin parawing with an ultralight canopy for low weight and a small pack size. The cascaded bridle system reduces total line length and drag, and the canopy holds its shape upwind with virtually no deformation.
Optional: VAYU Arc Bar
The Arc Bar, sold separately, is a curved control bar for more direct, intuitive steering. The curved shape creates more depower than a straight bar and makes it easier to index the bar during manoeuvres such as tacks and gybes. It features ergonomic bar ends with finger cut-outs, nine length settings via multiple A-line and brake-line connection holes, a bridge line that keeps the B, C and D lines clear of the bar, and an integrated harness line. The Arc Bar also allows the trailing edge to be overdriven without a trimline. One size fits all PYRO V2 sizes.

Wind ranges are the manufacturer's recommendations. Parawinging is most enjoyable in steady wind; very gusty conditions are more demanding.
