Code Foils R2 Series Front Wing
Code Foils R2 Series Front Wing
The second generation of the R-series.
The R2 Series (Rv2) is the second generation of Code Foils' R Series front wings. It has been designed with efficiency, speed retention, and long glide in mind. The aspect ratio is 15.8 across all seven sizes, whereas it is 13.0 in the first-generation R Series front wings.
The high aspect ratio does not limit the R2 to a single discipline. The same wing works for flatwater pumping and dock starts, downwind, wing and parawing foiling, and in the surf.
Features
- Aspect ratio (AR) of 15.8 in every size
- Thin profile reduces drag and extends glide
- Retains speed well: maintaining speed requires less effort, and energy is saved on long distances
- Stable and predictable
- Tracks confidently through long, wide turns and maintains glide during direction changes
- Performs best with calm, smooth steering inputs; not designed for abrupt turns
Construction
R2 Series front wings are manufactured from Ultra High Modulus (UHM) carbon fiber. The first-generation R Series front wings are made of High Modulus carbon fiber.

Who is it for?
The R2 is made for the foiler who wants to go further and faster with less effort. Applications include, for example:
- longer pumping distances and faster dock start laps
- higher average and top speeds
- tighter upwind angles with wing and parawing
- more time on foil in waves
- connecting multiple waves in downwind
The 741 R2 wing was used to win The Doctor race, which begins with a flatwater sprint and continues with a downwind section. The wing was also used in the 2026 M2O race.
Code Foils recommends pairing the R2 front wing with the Race tail wing. According to Code Foils, this combination is their fastest and most efficient setup.
